The Good Food Market Hub is a community, volunteer led initiative, in partnership with Foodshare, that strives to increase access to fresh, quality food at affordable prices. A Good Food Market (GFM) is a small non-profit market that sells high quality, affordable fruits and vegetables. GFMs bring healthy produce to neighbourhoods where it might not otherwise be available, and where farmers’ markets are not viable
because sales are too low to cover costs.
The Good Food Market model was designed by FoodShare, a non-profit community organization whose vision is Good Healthy Food For All. FoodShare works in partnership with community organizations and neighbourhood leaders to run the markets, and delivers top-quality fresh produce purchased from local farmers and the Ontario Food Terminal on market day.
Good Food Markets feature seasonal local produce plus imported favourites to offer the greatest quality and cultural value to the neighbourhood they serve. Each market uniquely reflects its community and is a vibrant and important gathering place providing opportunities for neighbours to meet, share information and celebrate. Join us at our any of our 3 locations throughout market season (May to Oct):
• Tuesdays from 3-7pm on the grass between SRCHC and the Queen Street East Presbyterian Church
• Wednesdays from 2-6pm at Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre, 86 Blake Street.
• Thursdays from 3-7pm at Ralph Thornton Centre at the corner of Queen St. E and Saulter St.

Our Good Food Market has had an exciting first month, with lots of enthusiastic volunteers and a good flow of customers each week. Please continue to spread the word about the market and it’s affordable, high quality produce.
However, we still need help. We are looking for musicians. If you are a musician or know any that would be interested in busking at all or one of the markets, please contact Coreen Jones email@example.com (mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org) or (416) 461-3577 ext. 344.
Also, we are looking for a few more volunteers at our Riverside (corner of Queen and Saulter St.) and Eastview (86 Blake St.) locations on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you are interested, please contact Coreen (info above).
Finally, if you are a community development organization and would like to get involved with the market, email Coreen, we would love to work with you!
Thank you for your continued support of the Good Food Market!
